Love of a Lifetime

Contributed by Curtisc on Thursday, 24th March 2005 @ 11:35:43 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Soon enough you will be mine once more,
oh how I can't wait for that day.
I don't think you know what my heart has in store,
but soon enough it will be on display.

We both know we love each other dearly,
and that what we share is great.
I don't know how I could put it more clearly,
dear, you are my soul mate.

I think about you all day long,
from the time I wake until the days end.
With one another is where we belong,
you're my true love and my best friend.

The years my life was without you were terrible,
you don't know how happy I am that you're here.
What we broke in the past is repairable,
never in my life have I been more sincere.

What you mean to me is beyond all things,
I could lose it all if I still had you.
No words can explain what all your love brings,
this kind of thing happens to only a few.

My heart is waiting, full of love to give,
and you are the one it's waiting for.
This is something I never thought I'd relive,
I thought I had lost you forever before.
