To you Mother

Contributed by Les4567 on Thursday, 24th March 2005 @ 11:10:40 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

You sit in a
Room of empty
Seclusion
Blundering in your
Own dejection
Feelings of hate preoccupy
Your every thought
Swallow hard
Take a breath
Erase all the feelings
Try to forget
The absurd, miserable things
You let him put you through
Don't blame it all on him
It's your fault too
I told you to get out
Don't allow him to
Treat you this way
You had the power to
Bow out of this
Relationship
You sat at the table
Allowing him to
Criticize me
Do you even care mom?
I am your daughter
I should come first
Not some low life
Alcoholic
Sleeze-ball, jerk
You have hurt me
I have lost all respect
These hurtful memories
I have kept
When you are ready to
Be a mom again
Give me a call
Until then I have nothing
More to say
To you mother
That is all

i think the "unrhyming" of it adds the effect of the poem. raw emotion. i like this. good job.

=] lots of people can identify with this one. i loved it. even though im a rhyme freak, i didnt think that rhyming this would have made it any better. its perfect as it is.
