The Dove Cries

Contributed by yellow_sundragon on Thursday, 19th December 2002 @ 04:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I sit beside you, but you don't see,
When you're looking in my eyes,
How much you mean to me.

Why is it that we are surrounded by lies,
It's like we can't tell the truth.
Can't we see how hard the dove cries?

Wrapped in your arms, you have the couth?
Why we can not just take this love,
And blame it on the innocence of youth.

Then she calls your name from above,
And you leave me to be with she,
How can you just sacrifice our dove?

I say screw doing the "right thing". Have fun! lol....I'm always up for blaming stupid things you can't resist on teenage angst or stupidity or whatever. You're only young once, right? Well, as far as we know for sure, anyway. :)

Dearest Yellow Sundragon @-<-<<-
this is the most touching poem and so full of classical beauty, I see it as two different meanings, one being you are indeed in love with your friends guy and he you; and to that I say let yourselves be honest and open about it and perhaps he will break up with her but dont wish it upon them: the other way is more detached, meaning that if I were to read this poem w/out your message I would take it as a classical beauty; that the woman of the man you love has died yet she calls to him from above, the dove, and he is sacrificing his earthly real love with you (the woman) for an unearthly one.. those are my thoughts, an excellent write my friend, and ty so much for sharing this, lovely
always Nessa

very touching..beautifully worded...but is it worth the hurt to your being. Stay true to yourself and everything else will come
