Poison Pen

Contributed by Urizen on Thursday, 24th March 2005 @ 06:28:26 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

My poison pen scratches and scuffs,
Ink stained hands
Fingers dizzily, dancing dare you let me speak?
Poison Pen, by my side,
Scribbling hard
Will you never learn?
Writing fades and gets lost in time,
No-one notices, no-one cares,
Why do you bother?
This fanatical devotion to these clouds, but do you have to speak it right out loud?

Poison pen, Who do you want to hurt next?
Let's create some pain,
Let's make them feel, what it's like to be this way,
Half-chewed,
Disaster,
You spin and turn,
You tourture yourself because you're not the same as them,
What does it matter?

No-one sees the things you see,
This writing, these words, don't come from me,
They're living, breathing, organic life
Precious deity,
Longing to break this cycle of time,
Unconscious and alone, why do thoughts turn to her?
Poison pen spread some joy,
I need to hear you speak tonight,
I think too much and so they say,
I'll never amount to much if I stay this way,
Poison pen you never complan,
Gracefully supreme, I let you reign.
