Between Black and White

These few years we've shared together,
Confined to one memory that was sacred.
In my mind,
I hear your voice.
Hollow,
Without meaning.
This false imitation of who you really are.
You made me laugh,
You made me cry.
This is a love ulike any other.
Or is it?
A single red rose,
A smbol of our love.
It was starting to bloom,
But you tore the petals off,
Let them drop to the floor.
A symbol of nothing,
Nothing anymore.
What used to be is gone,
My love shattered like a broken mirror.
But I've moved on.
I'm done wasting my time on you.
