Mind of The Moth

Contributed by Nazmythian on Thursday, 24th March 2005 @ 12:27:13 AM in AEST
Topic: ThankYouPoems

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He came to me as if he had been
Chasing some bright light
I asked what do you want from me
He said, "What you do best, write."
"A lengthy tale that will be told
In musical refrain
A forgotten blues guitarist,
If I can just recall his name"
Seems a month was spent in planning
Untill all the pieces fit
Sometimes I thought I hit a wall
But he wouldn't let me quit
He brought to life the music
And the words I strained to hear
He helped me find the meaning
When it seemed to be unclear
He added all the substance
Made a stew out of my broth
And let me have a glimpse inside
The mind of the_Ghost_Moth
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Every word is true. I could not have hoped for a better person
to have shown me how to bring the story of Slide to life. I am
indebted in a way I have never known before. For the music,
for the words, for the story, and for the images ... for every thing
... Mothy ... I Thank You

Scott

( I wanted to wait untill we had completed the story, before I said this )

You guys did such an amazing job on Outlaw Blues. It takes two to tango (not like your dancing together or anything like that) but I applaud both of you. This was a nice thank you to Ghosty. You are so right, he is extremely extremely talanted, but you are as well. A nice peice. Loves it!!!

I love this, Nazzy.
It's fantastic, and I hope Ghosty likes it just as much as everyone else seems to.

Naz,

What a glorious and heartfelt tribute to one to whom you feel so indebted. It's heart warming to observe such unselfish sharing and collaboration between you two talented people.

Thank you, Nazzy.
I couldn't have done this with anyone else.
You inspired Slide Cotrelle--
who else but Scott Peyton writes
song lyrics that tell such great stories.
To me you are the epitome
of a great songwriter,
keeping up the tradition of
thoughtful tales to stir our emotions
and help ourselves
connect with the stories in our own lives,
loves, and pain... everything.

It was hard work.
This is the first collaboration I've done
with anyone and it will always be unique.
Outlaw Blues.

I said it before... but I don't mind repeating myself here --

Your efforts together are the very definition of successful collaboration. I envy you both in a way I couldn't explain but suspect you can appreciate. This is wonderful, Scotty --- it's rich with the soul of the poet and the heart of the songwriter. *sigh* yes... wonderful.

An incredible tribute to the one of the minds behind it all... the great Ghost Moth. Nazzy, this is a very sweet and heartfelt 'thank you' to your friend and co-worker. You guys did an amazing job with those songs!! I really wish they could be published, but the media these days... Yet, you never know, my friend!! Loved these beautiful and breath taking songs. Thank you so much for sharing your visions to us, cheri Nazzy and Mothy. All my love to you both. Forever,

Your friend and avid fan,

Stephy!! *huggles*
