A Baby's Cry

Contributed by essentially9 on Wednesday, 23rd March 2005 @ 08:48:42 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

A Baby's Cry

You took away the reason I was living
And made me suffer each moment I was breathing.
You took away the only thing I ever needed
And made my soul cease in being.

The bliss once had is forgotten with pain,
And the sun doesn't shine through the incessant rain.
Not even numbness can make this pain fade,
Because you took my reason for living away.

I can't go on wishing a second more
About my baby that's dead, evermore.
I can't endure this Hell anymore
When God took the reason I lived for.

Very strong write. Bringing a life into this world is a joy like no other. When that life is taken away, the loss is beyond belief. No earthly words can help deal with the pain. Know that there are people who care and will help in anyway they can.

Good poem there. I don't know if you were
talking about something that actually
happened or not, but I can defintely relate to
the 1st line in the last stanza. I thought this
was written very beautifully.

Wow, powerful. I got chills, literally chills from reading this. I don't know what else to say. Amazing! SImply amazing. I felt the ache, the pain the agony. And the truth behind those words is one of the greatest in all of life. Loves it!

A very moving and emotional write. As tragic as the loss of a baby would be, our reason for being is He. Lean on Him in time of need, and certainly feel free to reach out to others, including me!

Willofree, If we are not afraid to cry we can grieve. If we can grieve, we can heal.

Wow Jen...this is so sad...
It is chilling, too.

I really really hope this is not true, Jen, but if it is, I am sorry.

Fantastic write, hun. I can't say anything I would change.

*hugs* Phil xxx

Grafic I hope this isn't for real.To lose a child is terrible, but in time we see a new angel is born.He sees God face to face.Filled with heavenly grace to help lead his family to that better place.

I saw the reads on this one at 99 and I just told myself i *had* to be the 100th reader :P, but all joking aside, I truly believe without a doubt that this is the best piece of writing I have ever read from you. It was so captivating, and it was so tragic, it was really something to behold. I can only hope you're not writing from experience here, because i truly feel for anyone who has to endure the kind of situation you've depicted here. It was just a beautfully done piece of work, I am just so impressed by it. Just...amazing!

Enjoyed these verses from a poet whose character emantes the boldness of a realist in reflection.
