"Leave it behind you, forget it, let’s go…"
The voice called me quietly,
It was a voice I didn’t know.
I was scared and afraid, lost and confused,
My spirit was broken with pain; abused.
The call was so light; I felt free and could breathe,
saying it was time for the end I could leave.
I looked down at my wrists -they were no longer scarred,
My spirit did not hurt,
My heart was not marred.
The voice had no source, it just called to me,
"You were not born to take this pain,
this is the way it should be."
So I followed the sound for it sounded true,
I followed it to heaven and looked down
and saw you; I watched you closer
and realized that you were sad,
That I had left; I then felt mad
The voice suddenly whispered again in my ears,
"Forget them…they live in the world with fears..."
I suddenly realized that the voice was a lie,
And with closed eyes I shook my head.
“I don’t want to die. I cant be dead”
The voice suddenly vanished; all I saw was black,
I was more than glad to be back.
So no more voices in the dark, no more dreams of suicide,
For I know deep down that I am loved,
And that I would be missed if I died.
I don’t want to kill myself- I know its not right
I credit it to my dream that night...
