My Fight

Contributed by yellow_sundragon on Thursday, 19th December 2002 @ 01:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Your bloods not the same as mine,
And before that was fine,
But you treat me better than my family,
Please don't tell me I'm being silly.

In my eyes you shone,
Now your asking me to move on,
And I just can't let go of you,
I want to join you too.

The red tears of my soul runs deep,
And mix with salty ones as I weep,
I don't want to believe you've left me behind,
I'll turn back time, press rewind.

The people who "care" can't conceive,
All I want to do now is leave,
Telling me to get over you,
But you were my friend true.

Right to the end you cared about me,
It was never just 'you', it was always 'we'
And I loved you with my entire might,
Why did I ever start that fight??

As you drove home from my place,
And the tears streamed down your face,
You couldn't even see the road.
My fault, my fight, I should have owed.
