Will my heart ever heal?

Contributed by mina-1 on Wednesday, 23rd March 2005 @ 05:27:49 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

They say in time pain will heal
The hurt I have
Is so agonishing and real
It's been a year,
But I can't forget
My heart is broken and
Full of regret
How much longer must I wait
To finally rid myself from all
this hate
Time has passed and it still
ticks away
As the anger and despair settle
in for another day
I try and live life
But I just can't cope
I've cried tears and I'm losing hope
Bitterness and resentment
Confine in my heart
As the memory of you tears me
apart
I try to smile and make amends
An act to cover up, so I pretend
For the one man I gave my heart to
Has packed his bag and said we're
through
He deserted me, looking me straight
in the face
Said that I crammed his style and
That he needed some space
So now this heart lays black and
charred
Ignominy and deeply marred
I'm still waiting on time to heal these
scars
As I silently watch the cascading stars

Yes, this is a poem that goes right to the heart.

It took me five years to move on and I wrote alot during those five years to keep my insanity. Now as I look back, I realize that his life didn't stop his went on, while mine paused.

May your heart heal soon and may you smile, genuinely smile again.

A very moving poem.

Kie

Give your heart time to heal Sue. It hurts like crazy dont it, but it will get better. Do not put your life on hold. I speak from experience. So many wasted years of crying and closing my heart to others. Hoping you find some comfort in your friends arms and that in time your heart can shine once more

A wonderful write

Love Angelxxx

Such a surreal poem. Makes me feel as though I was watching every second of it, and it hurts...it is really saddening and is like a bird lost from home...it builds a new one. Build a new house and forget the past, my dear. Your heart will heal, it just needs some one able to touch it to clean the "infection" out, and surely the wound will heal.

Wow.. this one nearly left me speachless. Wonderful write. I am trying to get over my first love right now. Love is one thing the human brain never seems to comprehend. I still ask question but i get the same results. I'm sorry your hurting so badly. It will in fact heal, in do time. Till then hold your head up and don't let the person know your hurting. They feed off that. Great write. Very heartfelt. Much love.
