They come to me
I swear they do
When the black
Is at its darkest hue
When the moon retreats
And the sun still sleeps
The chill seeps through even the warmest sheets
In these moments
They fulfill my every desire
And just before I am contempt
They retire
Leaving me with a feeling of
Startling emptiness
Frightened by the demons I possess
