When He Sleeps

Contributed by Kie-Kie on Monday, 21st March 2005 @ 11:32:51 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

He's sleeping now
I'm safe for the moment
He can't hurt me while he's dreaming
My small escape from torment
I can't be hit as he dreams
My break from the abuse
He seems so innocent now
Maybe that's why I let myself be used

I tuck him in
Being sure not to bend
The bruises hurt when I do
But with time they'll mend
Placing his head on his pillow
I think of all the things time can fix
But this is one thing it cannot
And I sit and cry from one to six

So I live for the night
When he's finally asleep
To go up to my room
I shut down, I weep
Some would call me foolish
To put up with it so long
But I can't get away from him
I'm dead the minute I'm gone

IT'S VERY SAD! but it can move a heart of stone any day. Trust me there are many on this highway of life needs to wake from.
Keep writing cause even if it doesn't help her it will wake up many.
huggs, luv, prayer, faith, hope, joy, peace,
emy

This was fabulous Kie very sad also that you had to feel so alone and go through this abuse. No one should have to endure this treatment.

(((MANY HUGS)))))

Hope this part of your life is now free
Love Angelxxx

The pain within comes out and helps to some degree. I remember so well that I wanted a man like this dead. and now that he had changed and grew older I find that I love him and forgiven him and now he is about to die soon. I will miss him. so many different emotions.. I wish I was there to help you.. Shield you somehow.

Wow...I really don't know what to say about this one...
It's seems so sad... but those last two lines made it seem different. It was weird. They changed the whole poem.. Like..it hurts..but you can't live without him.

Great write hun,
Phil
