Cradled in Natures hand

Contributed by Nardo on Monday, 21st March 2005 @ 05:42:55 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

The road has been over grown,
an emerald dress in Mothers
sweet fabric of foliage.
The smell of fresh rain
like diamond stars
speckled Angel dust
from Heavens wings
and pearly gates
dripping from leaf to ground.
Standing amidst the
dense green
majestic trees
and
fleshy mud
the world
in its simplicity
is born again,
an infant feeding
from my Soul
and returning it
three fold.
The Universe unfolded
it's mighty hand
resting all sorrow
within it's palms
and replaced that sadness
with secrets of a
Greener Wisdom
as I sweetly returned it
with a kiss to the wind.

This is very good. Your similies draw to a deeper meaning.

This is great, great, great! I can tell that when you wrote this piece, you were returning to that place at the core of yourself, and your heart came through because of it. I think the reason why we write is for poems like this. Writing is meditation. It is about expressing what is true for you, and the only way to do that is to come home.....to your heart. That's the way that I look at it, but what I am talking about could probably be described in many different ways. I love the feeling of this poem. The words were brilliant, the images were amazing, the feeling whole. It was uplifting and inspiring. Thanks for writing this.

Be True,
zenmind

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
