I lost my sanity-I automatically was called a basketcase,
its a tragedy-called everything so much it aggrevates,
I know that from the beginning I was sad and lonely,
maybe some of it was because my father refused to hold me,
I just wanted for once to make my family proud,
I learned everything a person could-I still think I let dad down,
I cant even look him in the eyes-for he knows of my failures,
But I graduated and quit my job to become a sailor,
they wanted to break me-asked me if I was neurotic-demonic,
honest to God-the world wanted me to remain unconcious,
now the spark needed to get the flame is voratious,
and the anger I show from pain is contagious,
I look in the mirror and hold in the pain of being abandoned,
It gets more impossible knowing they wont show me compassion,
Ive been through my life in torture but I can say that I survived,
but even if I didnt show the pain on the outside-I cried inside,
I never had a childhood-I spend my years trying to erase it,
all those years getting beat-I guess thats how it got wasted,
I'm still trying to find the way out of this emotional problem,
if earth is hell and death is heaven-im going on vacation to the tropics...

A strong, but sad write. It's like riding the emotional roller coaster ride. So deep and so well expressed. I feel ur sadness through ur words. Chin up my friend.
An emotional, but very well written piece of poetry. |
