The futuristic caveman will have a modern spear
A sleek design will travel far and hit the target dear
So sharp a point...it goes right through a man
And through the care he rides, it's hard to understand
The future of the caveman, is not in jeopardy
He knows to read and write and likes his poetry
The hard-knocks-school-of-life has taught him to be weary
He rents a cave tonight and sneaks into the city
The future caveman sports a bow compounded by a pulley
The arrow far will go to help take down any bully
His knife is sharp as sharp can be the darn thing gives directions
And on a cold and wintry night it starts a fire, damnation!
And camouflage concealer that doubles as a cream
You can't see this caveman but you can hear the scream
I hear the Texas plains they roam, recruiters we are sending
To help us with democracy the war that we are ending
We'll pull the troops way back, the cavemen will advance
And if they kill them all, will make another dance
