Solitude Queen

Contributed by blueheart on Monday, 21st March 2005 @ 03:36:58 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Empty are the edges of my soul,
Echoes revebrate through these ears,
The meaning of life is lost somewhere,
Beneath the mountain of cemented tears.

Disturbed is my reasoning half,
Deranged is my emotional side,
Dust free yet so unbelonging,
Where does my security hide?

These cravings are for an earthly touch,
These cries are for a heavenly presence,
Abandoned and decorated with broken dreams,
Will I survive this life lesson?

Belief is slowly stripped away,
And mocking laughs emerge with voids,
Tired of being gnawed with emotion,
This sole white flag I sadly hoist.

Blatant facts I cant accept,
Growing hope I cant reject,
Left alone in the in between,
Remains the ashes of this solitude queen.

Wow! And I love this poem, so sad, and dark too.

Just remember though, you're not alone.

Great write,

A more than adequate homage to the muse of solitude. I too am a person whose interest is indulged into the well of lonelines and solitude and the amazing isolation that lies within such precints. As such I can recognise the quiet beauty of writes like this. A piece of work, that to me at least, is a triumph of excecution and design. Laced perhaps with a taint of a personal echo written from the depths of a heart. I might have some issues with word choice and arrangement but all in all this is a wonderful depiction of solitude, a favourite subject of mine.
