Multiple Man

Topic: ambiguous

"Never forget who you are,
a super nova or a falling star
burning for but a moment,
your moment.
Never forget to enjoy your moment."
Blink.

My angel has spoken these words to me,
out of more than compassion or courtesy.
She likes me! She really likes me!
She has said what she means,
these things, the words that are in my dreams.
Blink.

The devil has cast her sidelong glance,
these feeding fiery flames, these foul words,
they smack of deciet, uncaring, unkind,
the words and the wisdom
from the deaf, dumb and blind.
She doesn't want to help.
She just wants to rape.
Blink.

Going to lunch in thirty seconds
going to help myself to seconds
going to give the lady penence
for gorgous slop
I'm going to drop,
all over the cafeteria floor.
Blink.

What'd she say?
WHAT'D SHE SAY!?!
What did she mean, why'd she say
those nice things, why didn't I say
something nice in return, say
something cool, why didn't I learn to say
what I mean, and mean what I say?
What did she say to me?
Blink.

Close your eyes, breathe in deep.
Turn away, make sure to keep
your back to her, don't turn around.
Walk slowly down the hall,
ignore what happened, forget to call
her later tonight, for God's sake don't turn around.
Just walk away,
and blink.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
