Nowhere to Hide

The price I paid for being cool is losing my childhood friends,
they look me in my eyes-so cruel they ask how I could change,
they tell me to give them a full explanation,
why I imitate the crew who I have affiliation,
they also let me go without a single farewell,
so I write poems with new stories to unveil,
this is the only way to let out the hidden emotions,
frozen and unspoken-thinking I am insolent,
thoughts building up-ready to blow like dynamite,
because they looked up to me-I was the one they idolized,
and it kills me inside like I swallowed some cyanide,
I will never forget-because there's nowhere I can hide...

Good poem, but, there is somewhere to hide. Hide in the "cleft of the rock". - ( Christ ) |
