A place sheathed by aberration,
Construing the most incredulous things.
The distance is infinitesimal, merely a few yawns away,
The transportation, modest and affordable - a mattress on a cot.
It is here that winds become opalescent,
And leave the howling to the sun.
There are paths that lead nowhere,
And roads that face no destinations.
Thoughts percolate the mind in millions,
Yet words leave in stentorian silence
The candles burn with darkness,
And the midnights illuminate.
Blemished mirrors reflect shadows,
That roam with flesh and souls.
The magnitude of time is conquered by apathy,
And the clocks, obliterated by ignorance.
Miracles embrace the impossible
Whereas, twists defeat the expected.
Strangers are the first to be recognized,
For familiarity remains forgotten.
Books are scripted with no words,
And songs are sung voiceless
There are windows latched onto doors,
And doorways recondite behind knobs.
The locks open the keys,
To a freedom that pines to be caged.
There is serenity veiled behind chaos,
And realisation concealed in confusion.
Nothing can be explained,
As logic never lingers.
Ask no questions,
For there are no answers
It is a fusion of the real and unreal,
An impurity of the right and wrong.
This world could last for eternity,
Or flicker out within heartbeats.
But never make the mistake of awakening,
For then, it will obfuscate into nothingness
