The smile on your face
coils like a snake
In the grass of your mind
While the words you speak
Ring empty and hollow
On the edge of your bind
Measure me and weigh me
For that's what you do
Calculate me into numbers
I'll dance to your tune
To see what you sing
While I disect your slumbers
I can read your mathematics
And show you the proofs
Your systems are shallow
Cling to your structure
And punish my vision
I'll see you at the gallows
I know when I go
I'll be wearing a smile
Can you say the same?
I hope you played true
Because, after all
This wasn't my game
