hand in pocket
simple silhoutte
walking away from all the destruction
hand covering my mouth
screaming lives torn
all the construction
your body limp in the water
cold and frail
i can't rescesitate the figure
the shadowed choice
i've torn you from the pictures
your face is somewhere in the ashes
burning slowly at the bottom
all the fireplace wreckage
and once again you're keeping me
keeping me warm and sane
the flickers reminding me
i have mortal arms
they're not fireproof
life is one walking silhoutte of anguish
one crackling arm over the fire
the broken lives and the torn faces
the ashes of the wreckage
and while all of you burn to keep me
to keep me warm
i am satisfied by the water's crash
the waves of fatality
and the blistered arm
hidden in the pocket of all my choices
