Black was the void as is the night
Then you entered like dawns first light
You quickly filled that dark abyss
It was not till then my life amiss
So straight and sure my life’s path grew
But your first glance threw it askew
I struggled, fought and at last I learned
For naught but you my heart yearned
I opened my arms to your embrace
And there we stood in a state of grace
For higher than eagles our love did soar
Around you my heart built its core
Then that day so great in my life
The day you promised to be my wife
And who’s the one I hold so dear
Lesley my love whom I revere

This is a lovely dedication to your wife. I feel sure she must be very proud. True love is hard to find and should be cherished deeply and handled like fine crystal.
