His memories, they haunt her,
like reoccurring nightmares
in her dreams the angels have fallen
and they sweep the starless sky.
His shadows, they linger
like silken fingers tracing linen lilacs
across her wrinkled bedsheets.
He can not leave her.
His pictures, they free her
as tears cascade her delicate cheekbones
and streak the aged notepaper.
He wont deceive her.
His soul, it loves her
it ignites the memories
sweet and aged
It wont relieve her.
His ghost, it lifts her
into an endless swirling twilight
and steals her heart
He wont forget her.
