Grief

We went to the movies and had popcorn.
We got in the car and we heard a horn.
That’s when I saw the light,
Oh that light was so bright.
It must have blinded you,
Because you missed the sign and I flew.
One week later I wake up in my room,
Wondering where you are and what happened after the boom.
I call in my mom and her face set off a fuse,
And that’s when I got the bad news.
You’re gone, I lost you forever.
I didn’t know what to do, I will see you never.
After that day, I promised I would never love,
Hoping that I won’t lose another to the land above.
Please wish me luck as I take a new path,
Ready to reach my goal and control my wrath.
I will never forget you. You were also my best friend.
But, this is the beginning, the beginning of the end.
