Pontificative Transparent

This spaghetti sits,
sits drooped and shiny, sits
oh weary
“I can-t believe my eyes…”
your eyeballs fly
they glisten at light speed
they zoom through the canyons,
over rippled blue
waves, and your
eyeballs see all, see
so far away, against a purple and (reddish-blue) sky
a little brown shack.
Your chimney is puffing
wispy dream-smoke;
you sit, eyebrows angled;
Your legs are crossed over themselves.
So pontificative transparent spaghetti
You can~t believe your bulging eyes.
YOU ARE THE WORLD
(never round and very small)
always short though very tall
When you scream and when you cut
Your boiling water very hot.
twang goes elastic limbs
twang twang twang
Yes, the tension overcomes you.
“I am not a toy soldier.
I will not melt under your throw
of flame aerosol can lighter.”
melt and sit
sit drooped and shiny, sit
oh weary
I am real feel my skin see me sweat hear me breathe
(tremble, feel me in your pores)
taste my breath hear my voice
close my eyes from all the noise
and now and never close the doors
of wooden shack on purple sky.

I love this poem. I can't say why, because I'm not sure I grasp what it's about, but I really liked reading it. |
