I believe that I am partly to blame
for the state you're in
having found its not easy
in growing up again.
Coming of age is a circle game
and the boundries run thin
from
"What has worked"
to
"what needs to work"
and falling down is never soft
landing bloody onto rusty nails.
But you look within your own scream
as you hit hard
the begining of weakness
and cover your head
for that will be your only key
to leave that desolate place you're in.
I tried with blind faith
to follow what is right
and looked to you when
I felt small in a grown up world
but you just turned over in your sleep.
And now the time has come
to fight or flight
and I've made my choice
as my wings of Fire
radiant safety
engulfed by the flames
to love
and
be loved
by others and myself.
It's been a twisted journey
beautiful at times
but the sky calls
and I can no longer be
the darkness in your eyes.
