Into this sadness you go

Contributed by Nardo on Friday, 18th March 2005 @ 07:44:22 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

There is a sadness here with you
a sadness that echoes
like a drum
low and rhythmic
making me resent
the condition you're in.
My soul flies by
leaps and bounds
in its desire to run free from this crisis
this sadness that is you.
My heart feels no pity
for you
yourself
have bound your body with
razor wire
unsettled by change in your life
never knowing how to cope
when lightning strikes you down..
Where is your will to live?
Where is your passion?
Gone astray with the rest of you
tumbling down a rocky hill
with only a cliff to fall from
in your near future.
I no longer want to
nor need to set fire to your
frozen self
being Phoenix
my heat is never ending
but still
Human blood runs through these veins
and my tears will still fall
but not heal
as I watch you begin
to disappear.
