Dreaming of Perfection

Contributed by Daniels_Princess on Friday, 18th March 2005 @ 06:49:50 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Sometimes, while alone
I sit and dream
Of the perfect guy
Someone who
Is not afraid of
Letting me see
The real him

Someone who is
Capable of showing
All emotions and
Is not afraid of
Crying in front of me
When hurt

Someone who will
Whisper sweet nothings
Softly in my ear and
Tell me how beautiful
I look when I
Look my worst

Sometimes I dream
But then I
Hear your voice
And I realize I
Already found the
Perfect person for me

Someone who
Makes me laugh by
Just saying hello
Wipes away
My crystal tears
And makes me smile

Someone I
Can't wait to talk to
Every night
Someone who I
Can trust with
Anything and I know
Can keep all my secrets

Yes, sometimes I dream
But I know
That no other is more perfect
Than the angel
God sent to me
And I love and cherish him
More with each day

I think women in general have dreams of the depth they need in a man. It's like we're looking for our soul's mate and maybe it is an idealistic dream.

More importantly though was your ending. You love and cherish what you have. That is reality.

Maybe the potential is inside of the man you love it is just untapped.

This is a very relateable poem.

If we didn't have dreams we would have no imagination.

Kie

A charming piece. It highlights romantic love untainted by the world's bitterness, which is a bit rare these days.

Take care.

Andrew
