Please let go
that is all I ask
I actually have a life now
can't you see
I want ot make decisions for myself
I hate that I always have to wait to hear yes or no
when I could have made the decision myself
why can't you let me go
why you so afraid
what could I do to make you see
that I'm not that little girl anymore
I love you dearly
yes I do
but I want my freedom to do what I want to do
with this poem I beg of you
let me go
so I can be that girl I want to be.

One day my daughters will say the same thing...let go!
But it will be hard....as maybe your parents are the same......it's hard to let go....as we love our children dearly.....but there is always a time to sat goodbye....but hopefully NOT FOREVER!
thanks for writing...it does leave me a bit scared knowing I will have to face this one day!
