Please my love take care of my heart,
Don’t ever hurt it or tear it apart,
It is so precious & so delicate,
Easily broken so please don’t forget.
It has felt a life time of hurt,
Laid for forever down in the dirt,
That was until you came along,
Now my heart feels with you it belongs.
My heart is like the petals of a rose,
With a little tenderness stronger it grows,
But with harsh treatment & a lot of heartache,
I can tell you my love it will surely break.
Lay it down in its place next to yours,
I hope that never will your soul shut its doors,
My heart has a home, that home is in you,
& it is affected by all you say & all you do.
I gave you my heart & all of my trust,
I hope our love is forever & never will it rust,
So my love take good care of my heart & of me,
As with you for an eternity is where I want to be.

Pix i'm sorry i gotta say this...
Loved it!
I really do enjoy your work, though i'm a great commentor.
( I don't kid myself i get all those reads just cause my works good!)
I wish i had the time to go through everybody's work and read.
For as you are probably aware i'm a poetry addict!
And it's only those who have truly suffered who can write with such depth and emotion.
So when you go on a downer after losing next weeks quiz!
I will be expecting another great write!
No pressure...
You aint failed yet!

That just created such a picture in my mind... a sad, dark, lonely and quite graphic picture.
You've done well with this poem.
