She feels so beautiful, but only with him
Mascara coated eyelashes
Bring out her eyes, no
Does nothing but push them into darkness
Paste on the powder, you think she’s flawless
But she’s covered in poisonous waste
She piles on the toxic waste in hope he’ll think she’s beautiful
Mirror mirror on the wall
She is pretty, don’t let her fall
Mirror mirror cracked on the floor
Is she like you, she’s not sure
Gloss coated lipstick
Color her lips crimson red
Does nothing but sugar coat what’s not there
Get out the black dye, and fake her color hair
But you cant see through this
She piles on the toxic waste in hope he’ll think she’s beautiful
Mirror mirror in her hand
Figure out a beauty plan
Mirror mirror wrapped round her face
Try and revive disgrace
Beauty is sorry
Beauty is so sorry

you should read "Survival of the Pretiest", did you know that a woman can earn $20,000 dollars more a year if she gets a boob job?
makeup has been around for a long time, in the old days it would melt with heat, so the women sitting in front of the fireplace would constantly fan themselves. In europe during the plaque they would not wash their face, and every day they would apply white powder this would block their pores until they got a boil and then to cover it up they would pencil in a birthmark. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. |

Hi, I didn't understand the need to hyperlink the words 'beauty'. It seems a little strange to me that it has no relevant context or content - just a search engine . . ?
Anyway - I like your use of the Wicked Stepmother's infamous rhyme. I've written something using it, too . .
.
Keep writing. |

I thought it was wax to cover pock marks that melted by the fire -
I really enjoyed this - I think it is entirely relative and an interesting write. I didn't get the hyperlinks, but the poem was strong and well done.
