Finally free poem 28th june 1999

I’ve travelled this road in fear of what I could be.
I never ever imagined my heart and soul could be free.
The past has gone and the future has become clear.
No more hiding the shadows, no more painful fears.
Contentment with my state of mind.
I never knew just how sublime,
How sublime my soul would feel.
How individual and special I feel.
It’s like a light shone unto me,
And said ‘yeah girl, go on now you’re free’
It’s great, it’s wonderful and my mind is intact
Looking forward to the life I’m going to attract.
Yeah I feel free I’m now as one.
I feel like my life has just begun.
My decisions no longer made in haste.
No more uncertainties, my life no longer a waste
I’m stepping forward into something new.
One day I’ll look back and smile on how I grew.
Positive vibes in every bone and thought.
No more tears, never more distraught.
