It's written on your smile
Her tender lovely face
And in the melody of your laughter
I hear her call my name
Though you're both from different beauties
On your face I see her name
And though it strikes me unfair
This reminder is in vain
In your eyes I see the love
That for her my heart did speak
And in the contour of your face
I see me growing weak
Because you're a sweet reminder
Of a love that I once knew
And o' this sweet reminder of another
Has been painted on you.
