a suicide note found on a beach in oceanside, ca

Contributed by summers on Thursday, 17th March 2005 @ 02:09:10 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

we were in oceanside on the fourth of july.
the year was 1995.
we sat on the sand and watched the waves roll back against the sky.
these were our tides on our hot summer night.

this is my most cherished memory of you.

july 4, 1999.
the same waves roll into the sky.
once our tides and now something i don’t know,
just another drift of undertow…

in oceanside where all my memories reside,
i’ve finally decided what i have to do.
i have to coincide with these memories,
and these waves, once ours,
will wash me out to sea.

and solemnly i’ll float like driftwood to my demise.

I really like your style of writing. I'll be reading more from you in the future, as you are very talented.
