How do I explain the way I feel
when you yourself do not know
you're own insides.
Stop for a minute and look to the horizon
the mighty rock in the distance
is Me.
Standing tall
and firmly to the ground
I've traveled quite a distance from you
moving slowly with Earth's rotation
left you far behind.
There is no growth in standing still.
Try and understand
I need more than a warm body
and that is only your good days.
I desire a pair of eyes
fixed upon my words and actions
talents and mind
to try and heal the wounds made flesh
from such a rotten world.
And when the night is long and cold
an arm over my shoulder
is like a billion Suns
generating warmth to the coldest
nerves in my body.
I plan to grow taller
reaching up closer to that
great ball of fire
that has warmed my heart
with his gentle touch
as I bask in his fiery heat.

Vivid and imaginative.
The poem flows very well, is profound in places.
My favourite lines:
'And when the night is long and cold
an arm over my shoulder
is like a billion Suns'
