Just A Shadow

Afraid to go crazy.
Afraid to hear voices.
Afraid to love someone.
Afraid of rejection.

Afraid to lose someone.
Afraid to get lost...
Where there's no exit door...
Just her and herself.

Afraid to meet people...
Afraid to be someone...
Afraid to believe in something...
'Less it be proven wrong...

Afraid of becoming...
Afraid of being left...
Back when everyone else...
Has already moved on.

Afraid of her mother...
Afraid of her father...
Afraid of them finding something...
Not meant to be found.

Afraid of the people...
Who haunt her and tease her...
Afraid that they'll see her...
For what she's turned into...

She's afraid of the self...
Afraid of everyone else...
So frightened of drowning...
She hasn't noticed she's burried herself...

In all of her doubt...
In all of her worries...
She's locked herself away...
And will never be found...

DNB
In the darkness where her shadows are her only company.
