Black Water

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Wednesday, 16th March 2005 @ 01:14:04 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Black water runs beside this place.
Cypress trees stand tall.
River to swamp to lake,
all called the Waccamaw.

Black water shallow here near the edge.
Water lapping at the shore.
Rippled patterns made in the sand.
These beautiful etchings I could not ignore.

Many boats going out today,
weather so nice and warm.
Folks fishing and relaxing.
Mother Earth today seems...
in excellent form.

=], seems like alabama, except a little too warm for my tastes often enough. i thought this was an excellent poem because of the rhyme and rhythm. i sit impressed by this one, just as your haiku of peace acheived. =]
