As I walk the steps to the gallows
On that cold December night
I'm ready for the executioner
To pull my noose tight.
I don't struggle to free myself
From the gallows tight reign.
As the floor drops beneath me
I don't even cry out in pain.
As my lifeless body swings
From the rope that took my life,
A man turns and spits on me
Just like I did to his dead wife.
To him justice has been served
At the cost of my mortal soul
I am now free
But bound is he by the memories he holds.

You may be free from this life but god will juge you also, hun. The visual is good but i would have liked more history in it. But over all a good poem.
