Raspberry wine;
Raspberry-flavored beer;
Thoughts of you,
They all add up to
Raspberry tears.
Raspberry laughter;
And a beautiful, strong love
Flying in the face
Of all the nay-sayers.
Now I have only
Raspberry tears.
The closeness of our love
Immediately followed
By stress and an ever-growing distance;
And now I have no clue
As to how you feel about me.
And you don't want me
To say "I love you."
Why? It's true.
Don't you know?
I don't just love you,
I need you.
I had everything I've ever wanted,
Just holding you.
Now I don't have that,
So, baby, please come back.
Don't leave me with only
Raspberry tears.
