Marching through my head

Contributed by twisterchaser on Monday, 14th March 2005 @ 09:20:15 PM in AEST
Topic: war

As I set upright in my bed,
There is a pounding in my head.
Is it the sound of the marching dead?
To me It is no surprise,
That it is hours until sunrise.
I set up until my head does nod.
Hoping this night it will not throb.
I say a prayer as I lay down my head,
Hoping this night there will be no more pounding in my head. I see the
flash,I hear the scream,
Oh my God why this dream.
As I lay down to try to sleep,
I know this demon I can defeat.
I pray once more that I will not be setting up in bed, With my head
pounding, with the sound of the marching dead.

Sad but very touching.
U being in the milatary I can't comprehend what u must be going thru. A masterpeice as it tells the world what u must have to contend with on a dailey basis or in this case, nightly.
God bless u and I'll put u on my prayer list.
Luv, huggs,
emy

often times nightmares go away with forgetting or facing the reason for them....
