Behind the glass The shapes move.
You've awoken from a dream, in a dream, when you were not asleep.
And the world appears to have vanished leaving nothing but the things that are watching you.
(You stare and tell yourself not to move...
And the rain falls outside...
And the clouds hide the moon...
And it's very dark like in the places...
Where one world stops and the other resumes.)
The shapes look through your glass window, and you cannot see them properly...
Just negative space veiled by the rain...
And you pray to God that they cannot see you.
Finally you've managed to drive yourself mad.
You have to get out before there's nothing left of your fragile mind.
So you burst out the door just in time to find...
Nothing but the sun in your eye's.
Back in the car and everythings gone back to the ways they were.
No strange shadows with faces undefined...
Just the road ahead and the road behind...
And you drive on and by the time you will reach home...
You won't remember what happened...
Your dream that took you to some other time...
When those shadows had still been alive.

This is my favorite part. It shows the reality of the fear and how there really isn't anything to be afraid of, but the fear still exists. Excellent write. One of my favorites.

Much like a puzzle.
Thought provoking and paradoxical...
Parallel -like a double sided mirror.
The structure itself is much like a dream --inconsistent and impulsively shifting from scene to scene, despite the connection and recurring themes. It is as though fear overrides reality, itself.
An intriguing personification of sciaphobia.
Hats off to you.
This piece is the best i have seen in a while!
Thank you for sharing :)
