Bright eyed little angel Leann,
You are one today,
I can remember the first time I held your hand,
It seems just yesterday ,
Now your learning to walk,
with bumps & bruises to spare,
you are really starting to talk,
and we can put bows in your hair,
your smile can really light up the room,
and your few teeth that show,
rocking you to sleep by the moon,
so tomorrow I can watch you go,
Go from the table to the chair,
a little wobbly though,
but you know Mommy is there,
to catch you as you go,
I can't believe its been a year,
"my how much fun we had,"
watching you grow with a tear,
I know I saw some in your dad,
So tiny & small you once were,
look how your grew so fast,
now the year seems like a blur,
I wish those moments would last!
So happy 1st Birthday Leann,
our precious girl with eyes of blue,
we'll be there to hold your hand,
with every birthday you go through!

A beautifully wriiten poem for your daughter, Christina. May she have the happiest birthday filled with love, joy and happiness.
Cherish these beautiful memories for she will grow so fast, enjoy these beautiful first steps for they are so vast.

| thank you for your comments on my write it is much appreciated. This was a good write and as you know my wife’s name is Lea-Ann. This poem made me said because I just saw my little girl for the first time she is 6 months old. I’m now back in Iraq again and away from her for 6 more months. When I get home she’ll be this age and be walking and talking and I missed it all. Good write and it was a joy to read but was sad for me at the same time. Take care….Steve |
