Leaving trails of dead skin cells
You follow me down till the end
Like breadcrumbs through the forest
I can see the light bend
The fork in the road
I can’t pretend
I’ve made a choice
The bullet through my friend
I break through as the victor
But we all lose in the end
You’re with me
As we travel on the lights bend.

This is a really excellent short poem. Usually I prefer longer, more developed poetry, but this is missing nothing. Glad I stopped in to read. Tiffany J. |
