I walk the remaining steps to the car.
I dont want to go, but I keep my cool.
I complain about ariving on time
But it's a ploy. I wouldnt be disapointed if we
just didnt show.
We stop abruptly,
Someone's pulledout in front of my
Funeral Ride
and we just barly miss them.
I'm startled, but silently wishing they hit us.
And paralized me.
At least then, I wouldnt have to go.
But they didnt hit us ... and I do go.
We swirve into the driveway
and I start my walk into:
'THE MOST UNFORGIVING PLACE EVER'
or, at least, I think that's what the sign said.
The next two days could determin my next three (and a half) years.
I pray they all forget my face
-and my name.
PLEASE.
Forget you know who I was.
That's not who I am now.

Wow! You did a good job on this one. I can relate to it very well and from a personal stand point. All the people who tormented me during my youth want me near them now so i can comfort them, but i live far away. |
