Hiding in the Bushes

Contributed by b_rand on Sunday, 13th March 2005 @ 11:27:32 PM in AEST
Topic: political

We've been backpackin to Iraq and attackin with serious action
Callin it the "mother of all bomb" attraction
And since we didn't raise the taxes, social security suffered a crashin'
And everyone of us is gonna be screwed in the rations

And there ain't no hiding in the Bushes...
No, there ain't no hiding in the Bushes...

The president outlined his plan and called it a "plaster man"*
Now we have a bunch of toy soldiers out in Afghanistan
And its no wonder that years after we dismantled the Taliban
Osama bin Laden is free designing his next attack on our native land

And there ain't no hiding in the Bushes...
No, there ain't no hiding in the Bushes...

How many people are aware that diabetes has been cured?
One hundred percent effective in a clinical trial war
And it's a shame stem cells are bein pushed out the door
Instead of goin to good use, they're aborted to dumpster floors

And there ain't no hiding in the Bushes...
No, everyone is vulnerable with the Bushes.

*As opposed to "master plan"

I was in the military....
I had fun...
I loved getting yelled at
and taking orders
and being the govt's *****...
the money was good too....
and bush is a great man...
ok....the last one was a lie...
bush is a wanker...
and he looks older than his dad.
I enjoyed this by the way.
always, abraham

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
