Lifeless Eyes

Contributed by addicted2selfharm on Sunday, 13th March 2005 @ 07:16:33 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

As I lie here in this moment.
Succumbing to your kiss.
The smoke rises from my cigarette.
I melt into pure bliss.

I lay my head upon your chest.
With my heart inside your hand.
I wish this moment would last forever.

I feel dirty, used, and torn.
When your body’s next to mine.
But I don’t care; I want.
You’re the closet to love I’ll find.

The love we shared is forbidden.
But sacred to my soul.
I want to run back to my life.
But you’ve already taken control.

I’m torn inside my heart and head.
And what I think is right.
This is my internal battle.
My constant and bloody fight.

I wonder if you feel the same.
Tell me, do you feel like I do?
Your lifeless eyes meet mine.
I can’t tell if you love me too…

This is truly a beautiful write, and yet its sad at the same time. Written to perfection, flows smoothly and is absolutely gorgeous. I hope things work out for you.

Take Care
