A ruined meal
oh, the food was good
the preparation, quick
the dessert delicious
but then you started
you pushed
you prodded
until all the goodness
rose like bile
i enjoyed cooking
for you
i enjoyed making dessert
for you
i enjoyed you
until you
ruined
my enjoyment

| very good poem, carol. reminds me of some of mine. in the fact that its vague enough to apply to almost anyone, but not very personal to the writer in appearances even though it is. |
