He breathes in and then exhales out
Each gasp is an open door
And life comes and goes
His own body starts to rain
And his skin begins to pour
Thoughts gather in the flow
The brain ticks like a metronome
But the head’s rhythm is lost
To the chest’s pounding beat
Every thump mimics his footsteps
Simple movements exhaust
The man trapped in heat
The cold night doesn’t cool him down
Any girl is a match
Struck to burn him bright
Forever he turns to ashes
It’s a shame if you catch
Such a pitiful sight
