I loved you, now I despise you
I'm glad we're through
I couldn't wait to see the back of you
You used me. abused me
I lived with your lies
I'm so glad I built up the strength
To sever the ties
We started off so beautifully
A happy couple in wedded bliss
Then your true colours finally showed
Then came the blows from your fists
I loved you then
I thought It'd pass
But each week sadly
It surpassed
I was made to feel
Worthless and dumb
Each punch you threw at me
Left me numb
At the time I thought I deserved
to be hit
You had to relieve your anger
when you were feeling ****
I was your punching bag
So you can vent some air
I thought it was love
That's how you showed me you
cared
You used to come home drunk
every night
Slap me around
Until I nearly lost my sight
You made me feel cheap and
like a whore
Who had to open up her legs
Whenever you wanted to score
You'd say you were sorry
It wouldn't happen again
That you loved me and
didn't mean to cause me pain
After 15 years of abuse and lies
Broken bones and all the why's?
I found the strength to finally stand
up to you
Divorcing you was the smartest
thing to do

Thank God you got out of this.
So sad but it happens all over.
Stay tuff, my friend and for goodness sake never look back.
A masterpeice as there's so much of this goes on these days.
I'd rather be alone the rest of my life rather than put up with any kind of abuse.
God blees u and hang in there.
luv, huggs, prayer,

Good for you! I'm so sorry you went through this, hun, and I am so glad you divorced him. He totally doesn't deserve you.
I hope he gets his comupance.
Great write, hun.
It was incredibly painful to read, though.

That was one of the most emotional pieces I have read.
I do not have the words to express right now...
Yet I am overwhelmed by such a weighty sadness. I am so haopy to see that you are no longer with what seems to be a pathetic excuse for a man.
No woman should endure abuse like that.
You are a strong woman.
All the best, dear. |
