Pieces Apart

February 15, 2005

Please God, don’t let me fall

Into a life with boxed-in walls

Where everyday outside it’s spring

And ghosts slip by unintimidating

I want to live where

The wind can make the leaves applaud

A symphony of natural noise, God

And feel the tingle up my spine

When wishes would be made like mine

I want to heal an injured heart

Put it together from pieces apart

To cross the coals beneath my feet

I want to know I won’t retreat

Please God, let me forget what I have said

Please God, keep my next step un-led.

I love this, this has to be my favourite line though:

The wind can make the leaves applaud

I just adore that image.

You have some great words, thankyou for sharing.
*hugs* Phil xxx
